"Mind expanding"
doesn't neccessarily have to involve drugs. Music, and for that matter
any true artform, can be mind expanding without the aid of drugs or alcohol.
As a matter of fact, this criteria may be another test of the validity
of the particular work. Psychedelic music and art may be enhanced temporarily
by drugs, but that is a "shortcut" that no one can afford. To achieve a
"high" naturally may be more of a mental challenge, but it will last longer,
be retained more vividly, and most of all, be enjoyed by a healthy body
and mind. P.S.
